Purchasing Coordinator

​Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital is excited to announce we are looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to join our team! Experience in a veterinary setting is required!

Purchasing details:

• Purchase and maintain all inventory and medical supplies
• Actively follow-up with all deliveries and ensure timely delivery of material.
• Receive and unpack deliveries.
• Maintain a record of all invoices and purchase orders.
• Organize, stock and maintain supply rooms
• Inventory counts and audits for all hospital product and supplies.
• Check regularly for expired stock, monitor product recalls.
• Monitor and clearly communicate backordered items
• Monitor and audit product turnover, rotation, and expiration date.
• Develop and maintain contacts with suppliers and sales/service representatives
• Resourcefully evaluate, compare costs and identify savings to get the best price while maintaining the highest quality of patient care.
• Understands medical terminology, abbreviations, and key medical terms.

About you:

• CVT/LVT/RVT or Veterinary Technician is a plus!
• Experience working in a veterinary setting is required
• Ability to work well in a highly collaborative environment
• Commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community
• Positive outlook and friendly, team-orientated attitude
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• The ability to deliver exceptional client service
• Honesty, integrity, and a desire to learn and have fun!

Schedule:  Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm

Salary: Up to $31/hr, commensurate with relevant experience.
